OUR VISION
Grove Wellbeing is a non-profit community lead service in Glastonbury, founded by Kubi May in 2024 as a direct solution to the ever increasing mental health crisis. As year-long waiting lists for therapy continue with the NHS, we aim to be the bridge.
We offer the community of Glastonbury discounted therapy sessions and free wellbeing groups which re-connect with the Folklore of the UK & Ireland, through Creative Art & Eco Therapy.

ECO THERAPY
We aim to reconnect communities in such a way by combining folklore with Eco-Therapy, which offers powerful healing benefits from spending conscious and meaningful time outdoors while exploring the hidden wisdom and symbolism in nature like the ancestors of these lands would have done.
Studies have shown that meditative time in woodland areas has been found to reduce stress & lower anxiety, depression and blood pressure. By weaving some of our oldest myths and folklore stories with Eco therapy, we offer an imaginative and holistic approach to healing both mental and physical health.

COMMUNITY
Studies have proven that community projects which explore ancestral culture provide important mental health benefits by fostering a sense of belonging, inclusivity and social cohesion. Through our groups, we aim to strengthen community bonds, reduce feelings of isolation, and support the process of integration for marginalised members of society.
Through our oldest folklore stories, we learn that the ancestors of the UK and Ireland had a deep and meaningful kinship with nature and used poetry and symbolic Arts to convey their inner worlds as a supportive, heartfelt and connected community.
We aim to bring this back to life!

CREATIVE THERAPY
Additionally, we like to bring the folklore of the UK alive by exploring it through Therapeutic Art, Music & Poetry sessions.
Creative Therapy has proven to be highly effective for improving mental health by providing a creative outlet for individuals to express thoughts & feelings which may be otherwise difficult to articulate, making it a powerful bridge between the subconscious & external world. This process allows for the safe exploration of vulnerable emotions & facilitates a journey of deep healing & self-discovery.
ANIMAL FAMILAS
From Celtic times to the present day, the sacred bond between humans and animals has been recognised as a powerful source of healing — a wisdom that inspires the heart of what we do at Grove Wellbeing CIC. The Celts viewed animals not simply as companions but as spiritual kin and guardians of wellbeing, with creatures such as dogs symbolising healing and loyalty. Drawing on this ancient understanding, we integrate pet therapy alongside our creative wellbeing groups to create calming, nurturing spaces where people feel safe to express themselves and reconnect emotionally. It's been proven that the presence of animals helps reduce anxiety and loneliness while encouraging trust, creativity, and emotional regulation, making healing feel natural and accessible. In honouring this Celtic-rooted connection, Zorro and Roy our pet therapy certified chihuahuas will be on hand in each session for cuddles and company to lift spirits!
